I'm pumped that the Sec Def is resigning. Now all we need is someone to investigate him for war crimes (i.e. waterboarding is actually torture).
I'm pumped about the Dems getting the House (and probably the Senate), as the concept of "checks and balances" has been absent for too long.
But I'm a little nervous about Speaker Pelosi. Anyone remember that State of the Union rebuttal she gave a few years back? I think it was "America must be a light to the world, not just a missile." WHAT? Oh, please, Nancy, don't screw this up just in time for 2008.
Though the guy taking over for Rummy seems scary, too. As for Pelosi, she's got a difficult job to do that will be made more difficult by her gender. She needs to be a strong manager and I think she will.
